turnovers
makes six

8 sheets frozen filo pastry, thawed
1/4 cup vegetable margarine, melted
6 tbsp pie filling (apple, cherry etc)
1 egg substitute, beaten
1 tsp cold water

preheat oven to 200 degrees. lightly brush each pastry sheet with margarine and stack the sheets. cut through all sheets to form six squares. put 1 tbsp filling in the centre of each pile of eight squares. brush the edges of the filo with margarine. fold the edges over to form a triangle. gently press the edges together to seal. put all triangles on an oven tray. brush the egg substitue over the triangles. bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown, cool on a wire rack and serve warm. they are really nice with custard!
